Edward Carter Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Head of BI to join a leading end user, based in London with some travel to Essex.

The primary objective of the role is to provide exemplary service to the stakeholders, you will be reporting to the Implementation Services Director and provide the necessary support, development and technology assessments needed to push the business in the right direction.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:
* Work closely with senior business stakeholders and Technology sponsors across work streams
* Continually review the BI department, sponsorship, and resource needs
* Direct the roadmaps so they are in sequence based upon dependencies
* Continue to Lead the end to end integration of our data sources into a unified data fabric while reviewing strategy for continued alignment with Business objectives and technology requirements
* Lead and validate the development of business cases for BI programmes and sign-off prior to relevant Steer Co presentation
* Take ownership of all budgets, identifying risks to planned budget and recommending mitigation actions
* Ensuring each project and the programmes is resourced appropriately with the correct experience, skills and roles
* Support commercial negotiations with outsourced vendors
* In conjunction with Operations and Architecture, manage the supporting BI technology stack.

Related work experience
Extensive experience in implementing and managing data warehouse technology including ETL Technology, SAP BW, Business Objects and others
Strong grounding in Data Architecture and Meta data collection methods
Experience managing programmes where data and analytics are used to solve and influence strategic business problems such as pricing or across different platforms
Extensive Management experience in a successful Dev Ops organisation
Ability to deliver quick tactical solutions in alignment with strategic direction
Proven track record of influencing senior level management and stakeholders
Proven ability to build a sustainable team and Organisation
Maintain business buy-in and adoption to the solution and BI Organisation

Strong leadership qualities; assertive, inspiring and honest
Strong facilitation and negotiation skills, acting ethically in all situations
Coaches and supports staff, facilitating staff and maximizing performance
Embraces diversity and proactively manages performance issues

Qualifications
* PRINCE Practitioner, PMI or equivalent. ITIL qualifications desired
