Pay-rate: £400 per day Duration of contract: 4 Months (with possible extension) IR35 status: Outside IR35 Experience Required An established track record (at least four years) in designing, carrying out and managing social research. Management of complex research projects which involve a range of professions and disciplines. Strong analytical background, with experience of survey design (essential), delivery and analysis (desirable). Experience of Government procurement and careful use of all government and public data and information. Strong communication skills and experience of collaborative working. Development of clear, pragmatic and manageable delivery plans using project management skills. Be self-motivated and comfortable working at pace. Key tasks and deliverables To design, develop and prepare for procurement a public attitudes survey on behalf of client. Key responsibilities will include: Consultation with policy and evidence leads (social research and statistics) across a range of policy areas within client to develop a design brief for the survey. Translating policy issues and ideas into effective research questions. Designing a draft questionnaire for the survey that has been approved by relevant policy and evidence leads within client. Consultation with client's procurement to identify a route to market' for the survey (ie procurement route and a shortlist of contractors). Developing an Invitation to Tender' (ITT), including a Specification of Requirements' (SoR) for the survey, including the draft questionnaire and covering sample design, survey delivery, analysis and reporting. As part of the ITT, developing evaluation criteria for the selection process.
