Our client is a Top 60, advisory-led accountancy and professional services firm with a strong UK presence. With over 40 years’ heritage and continued national growth, they have evolved into a multi-office business employing 200+ professionals across Audit, Accounts, Tax and Advisory.\n\nTheir relationship-driven, bespoke approach has positioned them as a trusted partner to mid-market and owner-managed businesses, supported by an ambitious acquisition strategy and award-winning workplace culture.\n\nDue to continued growth, they are now seeking an Accounts Senior to join their expanding Accounts team in Manchester.\n\nThe Role\n\nThis is a hands-on, client-facing role suited to a qualified accountant who enjoys taking ownership of a portfolio and mentoring others. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounts and tax services, while working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure excellent client outcomes.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n• Prepare accounts files, statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and directors’ personal tax returns to a standard ready for senior review.\n• Meet with key clients regularly to review records and discuss performance.\n• Review work completed by junior team members, providing clear feedback and ensuring review points are addressed.\n• Finalise files and reports following senior review, ready for client meetings.\n• Ensure all accounts and tax returns are submitted in line with internal compliance procedures.\n• Mentor and support colleagues from apprentice to senior level, assisting with day-to-day team management.\n• Proactively identify and resolve client issues, contributing to service improvements.\n• Manage client workflows and diaries to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.\n• Review client fees and highlight recovery issues to senior stakeholders.\n• Act as a main point of contact for accounts clients, maintaining regular communication.\n• Identify opportunities to introduce additional services to existing clients.\n\nAbout You\n\n• ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience.\n• Proven experience working in an accountancy practice environment.\n• Strong technical knowledge of FRS102, FRS102 Section 1A and FRS105.\n• Experience preparing consolidated accounts.\n• Confident managing client relationships.\n• Comfortable mentoring and reviewing junior staff.\n• Proactive, organised and able to work independently.\n• Strong communication skills at all levels.\n\nShould you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear IT Recruitment Limited.\n\nPlease Note: Due to the number of applications we receive we may be unable to respond to every application directly.
