We are a long-established and rapidly expanding property management company, specialising in the management and letting of lock-up garage sites across London and Southern England. Purpose of the Role:

We are looking to appoint a full-time mobile Maintenance Operative to assist with the day-to-day repair and upkeep of our portfolio of garage sites. The successful candidate will work largely independently to carry out a broad range of general maintenance tasks across Southern England and Greater London, with support from our Head Office team. This is a practical, hands-on, field-based role, suitable for someone with general trade skills, a professional attitude, self-motivation and a willingness to travel as required to our garage sites, as well as attend our Reading-based office daily to collect a company van, equipment and work details.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out a wide variety of general maintenance activities including - Repair and upkeep of garage doors/ frames, patching concrete and other minor surface repairs, guttering and basic roof clearance and repair, site cleans and removal of fly-tipped rubbish and general waste (some physical lifting required). Hedge trimming, weed and vegetation control on garage sites. Lock changes, inspections, and basic garage door repairs. Completing job reports and checklists with photographs and notes using a tablet-based system. Liaising with office and operations team to ensure clear scheduling and job follow-up.

Candidate Profile:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in general maintenance, trades, or property repair
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points
  • Accessible to our Reading RG2 head office for daily pick up of van and equipment. Work time starts from vehicle pick up
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy daily job schedule
  • Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet to record and report job outcomes
  • Good communication skills, including occasional tenant or contractor liaison
  • Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in a job well done
  • Good physical fitness for performing manual tasks

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a mobile maintenance or an estates management role
  • Familiarity with basic property safety practices (manual handling, Ladder work, PPE, etc.)
