In the event of title defect, advise on the potential risks, possible remedies and/or rectification procedures as appropriate.\n\n * Adhere to Client internal procedures which include (1) operating, managing and updating their intranet portals; (2) forecasting, reforecasting and claiming milestones; (3) producing a pre-engrossment/transactional report; (4) preparing and submitting a post completion report; (5) scanning copies of completed documentation onto the Client intranet and (6) updating Client deed schedules.\n\n * Deal with completions.\n\n * Where appropriate, deal with SDLT/LTT and HMLR applications post-completion.\n\n * Attend weekly review meetings with Client personnel (as requested).\n\n * Undertake project work (substantial or otherwise) within the timescales set by Client and in accordance with any protocol issued by Client and if required provide regular project plan reports and/or attend conference calls or face to face meetings to provide updates.\n\n * Establish and maintain good working relationships with Client personnel.\n\n * At the request of Client, to spend time on secondment at its offices working alongside its in-house lawyers.\n\n * Prepare and deliver training seminars on relevant topics to Client personnel at the request of Client;\n\n * Attend and participate in marketing events hosted for Client personnel.\n\n * Use appropriate financial and other tools such as Excel, Word and Outlook.\n\nRequirements:\n\nProfessional Legal Qualification (Law Degree/Paralegal/CILEX) – desirable but not essential.\n\nCommercial Property experience.\n\nAbility to manage own caseload.\n\nGood drafting and proof-reading skills.\n\nIntermediate to advanced IT and online systems ability (Microsoft Office, legal industry specific document management systems, online portals/datarooms etc.)\n\nCommercial, practical and financial awareness.\n\nConfidence and ability to communicate at senior levels.\n\nExcellent academics.\n\nExcellent interpersonal and marketing skills with the ability to develop contacts for the team and the firm.\n\nAble to work collaboratively and fit into a friendly but busy team.\n\nGood negotiation skills.\n\nGood organisational ability.\n\nAbility to work to deadlines and under the pressure that comes with residential conveyancing work.\n\nDue to the large number of responses we receive it is not always possible to respond to every application straight away.
