Role Overview
\n
We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Platform Engineer to join our Openshift platform team on a contract basis, providing critical backfill support. The role focuses on the operational management, support, and continuous improvement of our enterprise OpenShift platform running on x86 infrastructure, within a highly regulated financial services environment.
\n
The successful candidate will be hands-on, operationally strong, and proactive, with a solid SRE mindset to enhance platform reliability, performance, and user experience for internal application teams.

Key Responsibilities
\n
\n - Manage and support Red Hat OpenShift clusters hosted on x86 infrastructure.
\n - Provide day-to-day operational support for the OpenShift platform, ensuring high availability and performance and BAU maintenance.
\n - Implement and enhance automation across platform operations (provisioning, scaling, patching, incident response).
\n - Maintain and improve platform reliability, observability, and resilience using SRE principles.
\n - Contribute to incident, problem, and change management processes in line with regulated environment standards.

Required Skills & Experience
\n
\n - Proven experience managing OpenShift on x86-based infrastructure & container technologies.
\n - Strong focus on incident management, root cause analysis, and recovery.
\n - Experience working with VMware vSphere / virtualised infrastructure environments.
\n - Strong troubleshooting skills across:
\n \n - Networking
\n - Storage
\n - Container orchestration

\n
Domain Experience
\n
\n - Proven experience working within financial services or similarly regulated environments.
\n - Strong understanding of:
\n \n - Governance, risk, and compliance requirements
\n - Change control and audit practices
\n
\n
